Hergesheimer had also qualified in the 1500-meter run. She ran a 5:01 in the semifinals, failing to qualify for the finals. She finished 16th overall in that event. (Thanks, Travis Myers, for the photos.)       |
Republic’s Megan Hergesheimer beat her personal best in the 3000-meter run by eight seconds to take 7th place in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics in Baltimore Saturday. Her finish earned her a place on the medal stand and All-American recognition.
