| Volleyball Rebounds At Mountain Grove Posted: 06 Sep 2012 08:44 PM PDT The Lady Tigers volleyball team bounced back from their first loss with an easy victory on the road at Mountain Grove Thursday. Republic dominated from the outset, winning 25-13 25-19. The Lady Tigers improve to 2-1. They return to the court Monday night at Aurora. – The JV team also won handily, 25-12 25-12. |

Hayley Chambers hit two homers to lead Ozark. Republic also made four errors. Only five of Ozark’s 17 runs were earned. Republic had broken on top with a four-run outburst in the bottom of the 2nd. Morgan Cantrell scored on a single by Lauren Strobel, and Caty Eby crossed the plate on a fielder’s choice. Abby Norris doubled home Strobel, and Stephanie Eckhoff scored on a sacrifice fly by Danielle Shelton. Republic falls to 4-2 on the season. |

| Posted: 06 Sep 2012 04:40 PM PDT Republic dominated on the tennis courts in a COC meet at Webb City Thursday, winning eight of nine matches. The only loss for Republic was Samantha Minor, who suffered her first singles loss of the season. She dropped her match 8-4 to Miranda Miller. Danielle Hopkins and Michaela Moore both won their matches without losing a game. Singles Doubles |

Republic freshman Megan Hergesheimer finished 2nd in the girls cross-country race at Carthage Thursday, and Ryan Way finished fourth among the boys. Kayla Bartelsmeyer also turned in a top-20 finish for the Lady Tigers.
It was the highest place of the young season for the trio of Hergesheimer, Way and Bartelsmeyer.
Republic jumped ahead of Ozark 4-0 after two innings, but that’s when the Ozark offense exploded. Ozark two runs in the 3rd inning, and four more in the 4th to take the lead. By the time it was over, Ozark had pounded out 19 hits on the way to a 17-5 victory.
